Loïc Jugue is a French artist (visual artist, photographer, videographer), born in 1958 in Paris.
He lives and works in Fontenay-sous-bois and also in his other studio in Baie de Somme.
The artist is part of the second generation of French video art pioneers (1983). He was a director at Canal + and M6.
Since 2015, he has been working on his protean series, photos, videos, sculptures, installations:
Tes Broken Toys. He is a master of light who uses the very special technique of Light painting for photographs.
which allows an astonishing rendering of the material.
His art work has been shown in France and abroad in many others museums... at Georges Pompidou Center, at Palais de Tokyo, at Grand Palais (Paris), at The Salon d'Automne, at the Video library Jonas Mekas (New york, USA) , at The Villa Kujuyama (equivalent of The Villa Médici) (Kyoto, Japan), at National Museum center of art, Reina Sofia ( Madrid, Spain) , at Goethe-Institut (Montréal, Canada), at Modern Art Museum of Arnhem (Holland).
